Drawing In Flash

Oops. This is a teeny bit late.

Anyway, I have been learning how to draw in Flash. It's half-fun, and half-difficult. Over spring break, I learned to create line art in GIMP (which is just like Photoshop, I hear) using the path tool, which is just like the Pen tool in Flash, pretty much. I used that to create a little dagger icon for the game screen. It took forever to make my lines look right, though. Probably because I was using a real mouse and not the touchpad mouse on my laptop.

I also like the pencil tool, and how you can make it smooth out your lines. That is the best thing ever!

When I draw on the computer in any program, I feel much better having a picture to trace, especially if I'm drawing a person, or something with a lot of details. I drew the dagger free hand though. Which is probably why it was a little difficult...

One thing I don't like about drawing in Flash is coloring in Flash. It kind of makes me just want to draw pictures in GIMP and import them. Is that allowed?
