So, now I am working on the Paper Prototyping assignment. I began by filling a sheet of college ruled paper with plans for my game. I'm serious when I say "filling." I folded it, turned it around, boxed things off so they wouldn't get confused with others...it really is full now. Today, I began drawing on printer paper. I have a pretty sketchbook, but I haven't used it yet.
I decided on hearts for a health meter, Kanji symbols for using magic, and a magical pendant that will allow Jasper and Isadora (the two main characters) to speak to one another. I'm drawing all the pieces that will be moveable/changeable so I can cut them out and arrange them on the background.
Later this weekend, perhaps, I will draw pictures of Jasper and Isadora. Both characters will be used at different parts of the game. Looking forward to working out how my game will work, not so much looking forward to filming myself explaining it. Oh well!
More on Paper Prototyping later.
